Thinking of a career move? Think Teva Waterford!

With Waterford now named “Best Place to Live in Ireland”, there’s even more reasons to consider Teva Waterford for your next career move.

At Teva our mission is to be a global leader in generics and biopharmaceuticals, improving the lives of patients across the world. We’re proud to be one of Ireland’s longest established and leading pharmaceutical companies.

At the heart of our presence in Ireland is our high-tech facility in Waterford. It’s of major strategic importance within the Teva manufacturing network and is responsible for the manufacture and development of respiratory products for supply to the United States and other global markets.

Our cutting-edge research and development laboratories are also some of the largest and best-equipped in Ireland. The Research & Development focus is dedicated to the next generation of respiratory products for the treatment of respiratory conditions like Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

If all of that wasn’t enough, the city of Waterford has now been officially named the 'Best Place To Live in Ireland' by the Irish Times. Waterford was recognised for its historic city centre, thriving culture life and beautiful location on the east coast of Ireland.

Teva Waterford plays an active role in the local community. The site recently partnered with the Waterford Institute of Technology to offer the Philip Kelly Teva Excellence Scholarship. It’s worth €9,000 and aims to support an excellent undergraduate student during their studies.

As one of the largest employers in the area, Teva Waterford has a range of skilled roles available across both manufacturing and research & development. There’s a real commitment to developing employees and their careers, which is something the site’s General Manager Andy Crowley can attest to – having joined Teva as an Engineer in 1996, and then moving through a variety of roles to become leader of the site in 2011.

“What I like most about working at Teva is how we invest heavily in our people, developing them internally and giving them exciting opportunities to progress. There’s a real spirit of teamwork and collaboration here that drives Teva Waterford forward. Our greatest strength has always been our people”, says Andy.

Teva Waterford’s VP R&D Julian Blair agrees. “Teva Waterford is a great place to kick-start your career in research and development. We’re committed to bringing out the best in our people, giving them the opportunities and skills they need to grow their career. At the same time they get to do meaningful work that improves the lives of patients around the world, whilst being based in one of the most scenic areas of Ireland.”
